The job hunt is Satan's gift to the hungry workforce, and I experienced mine in a time of relative plenty (last summer). What I've learned is that the application and interview process is a web of complicated lies and non-truths:<br /><br /><ul><br /><li>Company puts out an advert laying out its requirement (which are lies; you really actually have to be a Cubs fan or 50 years old or be related to someone in the company; fuck your organizational skills).</li><br /><li>You send out your resume (in which at least your objective is a lie; you're not that interested in bettering the company).</li><br /><li>They trash your resume because 1) They filled the position, and the original job post was a dirty lie 2) They never even read your resume. They were lying when they said they would. 3) Monster lied to them.
